My Teaching Philosophy
At Blush Fox Vocal Studio, I believe singing should feel free, expressive, and deeply connected to who you are. Whether you're taking your very first lesson or preparing for auditions, performances, or a professional career, my goal is to help you build a voice that is healthy, reliable, and uniquely your own.
My teaching combines time-tested principles of efficient vocal function with current, evidence-informed vocal pedagogy. Drawing from both classical and contemporary approaches, I help singers develop balanced coordination across their entire range while building the flexibility to move confidently between musical theatre, pop, rock, country, jazz, and other contemporary styles.
Rather than relying on one method or "one-size-fits-all" technique, every lesson is tailored to the individual singer. Together we'll develop the coordination, musicianship, and artistic freedom that allow your voice to respond with ease so you can express yourself authentically, perform with confidence, and enjoy singing for years to come.
Once your appointment request has been received, you will be sent our studio questionnaire and all information regarding your lesson, studio policies and billing.
Carly’s Private Voice Studio is located off of highway 99 by the Woodland Park Zoo and near the following neighborhoods: Ballard, Greenlake, Greenwood, Wallingford, Fremont, West Woodland, Phinney Ridge, Meridian

Testimonials
“Working with Carly has been an incredible experience for our family. She brings a depth of knowledge and professionalism that is immediately evident, while also making every lesson feel supportive, positive, and personalized. Wet appreciate her commitment to vocal health and age-appropriate song choices. She is intentional in selecting material that not only fits my daughter’s voice today, but also supports her long-term development. As a parent, that level of care and expertise brings so much confidence and trust. Beyond her technical skill, she is amazing with children - calm, patient, and consistently encouraging. She meets students where they are, while gently challenging them to grow. My daughter always leaves lessons feeling proud, motivated, and excited to keep learning, and has grown so much under Carly’s guidance. Carly consistently goes above and beyond, offering thoughtful guidance and sharing her knowledge within the musical theatre community. We feel very fortunate to work with her.” - Parent

“I feel safe and hopeful for the first time in ages.” - Student working through vocal rehabilitation post injury
”Carly has been such an amazing teacher for my daughter Penny. In a short time we’ve seen a vast improvement in her voice. She now sings consistently in her “chest voice” instead of her “head voice,” has breathing techniques that help her hold notes out much longer than before, and is getting bigger roles in her auditions (thanks to both the improved vocal ability and the audition tips Carly taught her). She’s taught Penny tangible, useful techniques that previous voice teachers never did. Thank you, Carly!” - Parent
“Carly is very knowledgeable, she is funny and fun to work with! Carly has helped me develop my vocal range and feel more confident in the roles I am playing. Her teaching process works great and I feel lucky I get to learn from her. Since taking lessons with Carly and perfecting my technique, I was able to get a bigger singing role in my most recent production. Thank you, Carly!” - Student
